So I finally found the PERFECT curtains, hooray! This is a picture of my dining room. I searched high and low for the right color and who'd have known I'd find them at Wal-Mart (plug, in case you too would like these lovely curtains). The picture is a bit off. The embosed pattern isn't shiny or "sparkly" as the picture would imply, and the color is much closer to the color of my walls, but nonetheless, here they are. I'm getting more sets to put in my living room. According to John, our house now looks "homey". I guess the last year it's been like living in a hotel for him, all because I had no curtains. Who knew?
The projects continue around the house. We are working on getting our "dead" trees out of the front yard (sigh). It is a huge expense and unfortunately we are going to lose all our shade, but the trees are in poor shape, so down they must go. Then my resident roofer (that would be John) is going to roof the house. Thank goodness I married a handyman. I'll be sure to post pictures so you can see our progress.
