Dust in the Wind. . .

Well, the trees have been reduced to a pile of mulch. Now we just need to figure out what to plant here as a replacement. I had
thought about Bradford Pear trees, Japanese Maple or Dogwoods
but I think we'll wait until spring.

Seems so odd to not see those trees, but it is a relief to know that they are gone and that there's no long a change of waking up with
a tree in our bedroom.


Meanwhile, the house is still airing out from John's impromptu fire yesterday. The bedrooms were pretty much spared, but the kitchen, dining room and living room areas still have a smokey odor to them. Thankfully it will be 77 degrees today so we can continue to air the place out.
