Tubes, crap.

So poor little Jacob had an appointment with an ENT specialist today. I guess what should be no surprise to anyone is that Jacob failed his hearing test horribly. He is having a lot of issues with his hearing and thus his speech has been affected (is it "effected" or "affected". . . I never know). Anyway, we think that tubes will relieve the fluid build-up behind the one ear drum and alleviate the pressure, which is basically sucking his ear drum in, and causing the loss in hearing. He will have his surgery (or as everyone likes to call it . . . "procedure") on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at around 7:00 a.m. The whole thing will take about 20 minutes, so we should be home around 8:30 a.m. John will be taking care of Johnathan until I can get big brother home.

I guess I'm o.k. with the idea of the tubes, it's the surgery that has me worried. But I want my poor little man to hear, so I guess we'll have to do this.

I'll keep you all up to date on Jacob's progress.
