So we're getting ready to travel to John's parent's house for Thanksgiving and can I just tell you how much freakin' work it is to get ready for a trip with two little ones in tow??? I feel like a Marine. I did more today before 8:00 a.m. than some people do all day.
Here’s just a sample of the things I accomplished today by noon. . .
Showered;
Dressed;
Dressed two uncooperative little people (worst part of my day);
Drove to daycare and deposited two unruly children (yeah, daycare);
Drove to work;
Hit Mickey D’s aka McDonald’s for an egg McMuffin (not Weight Watcher friendly, but whatever)
Attempted to ride in elevator crowded to the hilt because it’s 7:58 and we MUST punch in at 8:00 a.m.
Get to work (busy, busy, busy)
BREAK – in fifteen minutes I had to drive and drop off the van for an oil change and then walk back to my office (whew!)
And what I accomplished after lunch. . .
Get back to work (more business)
BREAK – in fifteen minutes I had to pick up the van, deposit cash, pick up a book, get lunch, balance check book
Hooray ! Work day is done
Get kids
Go home
Feed kids
Go back out for last minute crap (shampoo, etc.)
Recharge E-Z pass for trip (money thingy for tolls)
Pay bills
Text sister to see if she got on her own trip
Clean up house
Pack
Do laundry
Last minute check of luggage, etc.
Sleep (ahhh, sweet relief)
Hope you all have a wonderful and joyous Thanksgiving! I'll be back blogging after the holiday!
