I am NOT the biggest loser, and that just stinks

So I am not the biggest loser and while I guess most people would be glad they are not the “biggest loser”, today I am sad that I am not. As of the first week of our weight lose challenge I have lost ZERO pounds!?!?! Now granted I had a “Britney” moment and went hog-wild at Starbucks getting the Grande Caramel Frap, sparing no expense, not going “skinny” or leaving out any of the yummy sugary, fatty goodness that we have all come to know and love. And for that matter, who decide coffee wasn’t good enough, because by all means, I love a cup a coffee with cream, but I LOVE-LOVE the high-octane, diabetic coma in a cup that I can get from Starbucks. It is sinful and delicious and it is going to separate me from $20.00 bucks if I don’t get a grip!!!

In other news. . . I’m on week 2 of school. Not feeling as overwhelmed as last week, but still concerned that I have bitten off more than I can chew (ha! ha! no pun intended as it may relate to the weight lose challenge). I keep looking at my calendar knowing that soon the other two classes will start and then what the heck am I gonna do?!?!?! Hopefully John will be around, at least on weekends between now and May. AND I have to keep reminding myself that my research class ends in February, so with any luck it won’t be too bad for too long. AND I really like the looks of my Torts textbook. O.K., I feel better now. Sometimes just putting it all down on paper, or blog as the case may be, makes it seem not so impossible.

Well, I’m off to drink another gallon of water. Glub, Glub. Hope I can make it home ;-)

I'm not the biggest loser either!! Yet......

Stop stressing about school - you will be FINE. You'll be able to sleepwalk through your torts class - you could probably teach it!

Your mentor,

Deb =)

And by Mentor, I mean I am not going to be an "offical" UMUC Mentor (because really, how thin can a person spread themselves??) So, I will be your unoffical mentor as you traverse the halls of education (via the Itnernet) at UMUC.

Trust me, it will all feel better soon! I remember working full time and going to college, too. Then again, I didn't have kids then, but whatever... :) Go Beth, go Beth... it's your birthday...
